FAABulous Football Week 11: The End is Near

FAABulous Football Week 11: The End is Near

Welcome to Week 11 and I am sad to say that there are only two weeks left of the regular season for FFPC leagues... time flies!

At this point you should have a realistic idea of where your team stands and what your odds are to securing a top 4 seed in your league. Remember the top 2 seeds automatically get a buy into the sprint, while the 3 and 4 seeds have an opportunity to get into the sprint if they can win their league by battling it out in Weeks 13 and 14.

If you know you are likely in these battles you need to plan your attack now to set yourself up for success. I also advise looking ahead to defensive matchups you want to attack as well as securing kickers who are likely to avoid bad weather games.

This is also the week if you drop a player they will not be available to pick back up on waivers for the rest of the season. As a reminder you can't take your FAAB with you so don't be afraid to make your own judgement on these waiver targets and be more aggressive if there is something that you need and you have the money. Every league is different, I encourage you to look at trends in your own leagues when deciding what to bid as well, and how much money your competition has.

Anyways, if you have made it this far, hopefully you still have a dog in this fight. As I said before the end is near and we only have two teams on bye in Week 11 with Saints and Colts so let's get going!

I went through team by team, listing the players we won on waivers Week 10 and the amount we won the players for, followed by what the average bid was for those players across Main Event Leagues.

I also included some of the top players that we did not win and shared our bid range and the average bid those players went for in Main Event Leagues.

Waiver Average Bid: $1

Harrison Mevis $1

Waiver Average Bid: $1

Matchup:

Loss (4-6)

1326.75 pts (8th)

This team has fought hard this season. This was the first team drafted for the minisodes, and heading into Week 11 Alvin Kamara autodraft is on bye. Several more injuries destroyed this team, I don't know if we can overcome the losses now without Garrett Wilson, Orande Gasden, JK Dobbins, and Matthew Golden to add to Omarian Hampton, Bucky Irving.

Broken Social Scene

Winning Bids: None

Matchup:

Loss (5-5)

1343.25 pts (8th)

The stat chasing boys were not active on waivers because the team is broke. This team has had a rough few weeks at running back after Jordan Mason had a role change on top of injuries to Bucky Irving and Omarian Hampton. The shred of good news is the team already rosters several of the handcuffs and waiver options for the week we would spend at.

Neko Case

Winning Bids:

Kyle Williams $3

Waiver Average Bid: $1

Matchup:

Won (6-4)

1393.80 pts (4th)

My team has made a late season rally and now has enough points to have a chance to battle for a spot in the sprint. This week we face the 3 seed team, and there is a world where we could move up if other teams lose out or we score an insane amount of points. I am excited about this one going forward, but am absolutely terrified for Week 14.

Arcade Fire

Winning Bids: None

Matchup:

Won (4-6)

1310.15 pts (8th)

The ADP chasing team needed a miracle to have any life and scoring almost 200 points in these leagues will do that. The team is still a long shot to get a top seed, but if it can put up two more big scores it is within the realm of possibility.

Wolf Parade

Winning Bids:

Greg Dulcich $1

Waiver Average Bid: $12

Ty Johnson $3

Waiver Average Bid: $16

NYJ Team Defense $1

Waiver Average Bid: $1

Matchup:

Loss (2-8)

1287.35 pts (11th)

I would like to take a moment of silence for what could have been. This was probably my favorite team on paper that was in the portfolio, but it was ravished by injury. The team fought incredibly hard and lucked into some waiver gems, but it was not enough. I am afraid this one is Joever... RIP

April

Winning Bid:

CAR Team Defense $1

Waiver Average Bid: $18

Matchup:

Won (6-4)

1328.65 pts (7th)

The CrakRok team managed a win in Week 10 feels like a damn miracle. This team is still firmly in play and only trails the best records by 1 game. This league happens to be a dog fight, and we will fight til the bitter end here.

Islands

Winning Bids:

Jayden Reed $1

Waiver Average Bid: $8

TB Team Defense $27

Waiver Average Bid: $26

Matchup:

Won (7-3)

1505.15 pts (1st)

The team with Gretch is in first place with the most points and best record in the league, LFG it doesn't get much better than this!

Hot Hot Hot

Winning Bids:

Emari Demercado $113

Waiver Average Bid: $59

Matt Prater $1

Waiver Average Bid: $3

Matchup:

Won (8-2)

1412.95 pts (1st)

Shawn's team will not be outdone by Gretch it is also winning it's league with the best record. This team does need to finish strong and keep winning as there are sone really high point total teams in this league.

SC

Winning Bids:

Alec Pierce $212

Waiver Average Bid: $102

Marcus Mariota $12

Waiver Average Bid: $21

Matt Prater $1

Waiver Average Bid: $3

Matchup:

Loss (5-5)

1459.80 pts (5th)

The Big Payback team with Gretch and Leone has been a roller coaster. First they had no RB2, then they had a stacked running back room... now they are hanging on with 3rd most points. The boys desperately need to find a waiver gem to bring this team back to life.

Week 11 Waiver Priorities for FFPC

Below are all the players I like for Week 11 for FFPC leagues. I break down all players into tiers with FAAB suggestions, followed by player analysis and a list of players to consider dropping.

This article is also intended to provide value for those of you who play in deeper league formats and dynasty leagues.

Please note that with a drop list, you do not have to drop these players and all suggestions are general as it is impossible to cover all nuances of individual leagues.
