FAABulous Football Week 14: The Waiver Season Finale

FAABulous Football Week 14: The Waiver Season Finale

I can't believe this is it, the final FAABulous Waiver Article of the season.

If you are still here reading this, congratulations, you probably have some teams with a chance to make it into the playoffs and/or sprint.

The wire is getting thin, I hope you planned ahead and feel ready for this final battle.

Now we must survive our final set of byes as it is a big one with NE, CAR, SF, and NYG.

Let's get down to business, and remember you gotta spend money to make money... good luck!

All stats and data for FAABulous Football are pulled from Fantasy Life, PFF, NFL Next Gen Stats, ETR, and Stealing Signals.

A Look Back at Week 13: Ship Chasing Team Standings and Waiver Wire Wins

I went through the remaining teams and listed the players we won on waivers for Week 13, the amount we won the players for, followed by the average bid of those players across Main Event Leagues.

I also included some of the top players that we did not win and shared the average bid those players went for in Main Event Leagues.

Matchup:

Won (4th seed)

My team made it through the first week of the league playoffs, as it has to win to earn a spot in the sprint. Early on Thanksgiving the team was off to a hot start with Jamo. Then there was the Rome dud. Sunday, our opponent fell short with several players and we already sealed the win heading into Monday night. This week is going to be a lot more difficult with several of our core players on bye, and our opponent is very strong. I feel good about our chances and love this team with several low owned pieces if we get through to the sprint.

Islands

Winning Bids:

Mike Gesicki $23

Waiver Average Bid: $22

Matchup:

Won (2nd seed)

We got another winner here, despite big let downs from JSN and Gasden. This team already has a sprint spot locked in so next week is just for some pride and extra money.

Hot Hot Hot

Winning Bids: None

Matchup:

Won (1st seed)

We had a clean sweep for the first week of the playoffs, also all Drake Maye teams... coincidence, I think not. This team also already has a sprint spot locked up as the top dog in the league.

SC

Winning Bids:

ARI Team Defense $3

Waiver Average Bid: $8

Matchup:

Won (8-5)

1884.35 pts (3rd)

Wow another big win for the Big Payback team as it now finishes the regular season this week. Remember this is a self contained league, different from the main event teams.

Week 14 Waiver Priorities for FFPC

Below are all the players I like for Week 14 for FFPC leagues. I break down all players into tiers. Now with this being the final waiver run for the high stakes contests I am no longer including FAAB suggestions or a list of players to drop.

If there is someone of value to your team heading into the sprint or in a must win matchup in Week 14 then go get them. Anyone that doesn’t serve your team is droppable at this point, there are lots of players you know you are never starting, feel free to drop what you feel is necessary.

This article is also intended to provide value for those of you who play in deeper league formats and dynasty leagues.
