FAABulous Football Week 2: The Clip Curse Continues
Welcome to Week 2, what a wild ride this first week of football brought for the 2026 season.
It brings me no happiness to report the Strib Club is closed as the Ship Chasing clip curse claims yet another promising rookie in the first game of the season.
We were reminded throughout this first week that football can be a cruel and violent game as we saw the injuries pile up.
However we also get to witness true greatness, elite athleticism, and the start of what looks like to be a break out season for some of our favorite players.
We saw some wild games in week 1, complete with surprising comebacks, high scoring, and a few offenses that looked ill prepared to start.
Now there is a tendency to over react to a one week sample, and I will try to remain level headed as I guide you through our first week of waivers after watching these games.

A Look Back at Week 1: Ship Chasing Team Standings and Waiver Wire Wins
I went through team by team, listing the players we won on waivers Week 1 and the amount we won the players for, followed by the next highest bid in our individual league and finally what the average bid was for those players across Main Event Leagues.
I also included some of the top players that we did not win and shared the average bid those players went for in Main Event Leagues.
This week I am doing a quick glimpse of results, in coming weeks I will have a more detailed commentary.

Week 2 Waiver Priorities for FFPC
Below are all the players I like for Week 2 for FFPC leagues. I break down all players into tiers with FAAB suggestions, followed by player analysis and a list of players to consider dropping.
This article is also intended to provide value for those of you who play in deeper league formats and dynasty leagues.
