FAABulous Football Week 2: Time for Some Slappy Victory Lap Celebrations
Stephanie Miller's FAABulous Football
Welcome back, everyone, it looks like we survived an eventful Week 1 start to this fantasy football season. There were great surprises, some surprise duds from some of our favorite studs.
First, let's start with Harold Fannin, one of Pat Kerrane's biggest stances this season, who is looking like a legit late league winner.
Then there is rookie Emeka Ebuka, who started gaining heavy steam throughout the offseason and is looking like a stud. Luckily, I invested early heeding the advice of another very smart fantasy player.
Finally, who can forget Bill, the rookie who ran as the RB1 for the Commanders to start the season, fulfilling the prophecy told by left-wing slappy drafters everywhere.
I don't want to visit the disappointments right now, as it's the beginning of the season and a lot can change, I'm not ready to take any losses yet.
However, there is a ton to get to this week, so let's get started with a portfolio review of the Ship Chasing team's performances.
All stats and data for FAABulous Football are pulled from Fantasy Life, PFF, NFL Next Gen Stats, ETR, and Stealing Signals.
A Look Back at Week 1
Ship Chasing Team Standings and Waiver Wire Wins
I went through team by team, listing the players we won on waivers week 1 and the amount we won the players for, followed by what the average bid was for those players across Main Event Leagues.
Then we will review each team's week 1 matchup results (for better and worse).
Let's get started!
Destroyer
Winning Waiver Bids:
Dontayvion Wicks $1
Waiver 1 Average Bid: $1
Waiver 2 Average Bid: $1
Malik Washington $1
Waiver 1 Average Bid:$19
Waiver 2 Average Bid: $3
Matchup: Won (1-0)
Destroyer lived up to their name and destroyed the competition which just so happened to be fellow Ship Chaser and FFPC grinder Dreaming of Next Sunday. The key to victory was clear, who wouldn't have guess starting multiple Steeler's would ensure victory, along with rookie sensation Emeka Egbuka.

Broken Social Scene
Winning Bids:
Ollie Gordon $357
Waiver 1 Average Bid: $511
Matchup: Lost (0-1)
You win some, you lose some, and yes we decided to sit Harold Fannin after we confirmed Jayden Reed was starting. Little did we know the correct answer was to start Fannin and Reed and sit Jauan Jennings, hopefully we can have better luck next time.

Neko Case
Winning Bids:
Jaylin Noel: $7
Waiver 1 Average Bid: $29
Waiver 2 Average Bid: $21
Matchup: Lost (0-1)
This loss hurt the most because it was my team. However, I do take solace in knowing I made the correct start decision with Bill and Rome. If only I didn't have to face the big dog out of the gate, things might have been different.

Arcade Fire
Winning Bid:
Quentin Johnston: $18
Waiver 1 Average Bid: $2
Evan McPherson: $1
Waiver 1 Average Bid: $1
Waiver 2 Average Bid: $2
Matchup: Lost (0-1)
Ok, this losing thing is getting old. This was another tough loss, as we were feeling hot after nailing the Quentin Johnston free look. The biggest lineup decisions for us here were Olave v Deebo and choosing which tight end. In the end, it would not have been enough unless we sat someone for Bill.

Wolf Parade
Winning Bid:
Malik Washington: $1
Waiver 1 Average Bid: $19
Waiver 2 Average Bid: $3
Jaylin Lane: $1
Waiver 1 Average Bid: $1
Waiver 2 Average Bid: $1
Matchup: Won (1-0)
Finally, another big win! Ron Stewart's team is off to a hot start thanks to a monster Zay Flowers performance and a solid Ceedee Lamb free look. I have a feeling most people who faced Josh Allen teams this week were not as lucky.

April
Winning Bid:
Jaylin Noel: $7
Waiver 1 Average Bid: $29
Waiver 2 Average Bid: $21
Ray-Ray McCloud: $2
Waiver 1 Average Bid:$2
Waiver 2 Average Bid: $4
Matchup: Losers (0-1)
Damn another brutal loss... there wasn't a lot we could do here when your studs put up duds.

Islands
Winning Bid:
Malik Washington: $2
Waiver 1 Average Bid: $19
Waiver 2 Average Bid: $3
WAS Team Defense: $2
Waiver 1 Average Bid: $8
Waiver 2 Average Bid: $3
Matchup: Won (1-0)
We are so back! Island had solid performances from every player. Love to see everyone pulling their weight. Another win against Josh Allen feels wild too on a week he put up 42 points.

Hot Hot Hot
Winning Bid:
Malik Washington: $3
Waiver 1 Average Bid: $19
Waiver 2 Average Bid: $3
Matchup: Won (1-0)
We are finally feeling hot! This team was one where matchup variance fell in our favor as this was the lowest scoring team we had in week 1 and yet it was victorious.

SC
Winning Bid:
Jaylin Noel: $6
Waiver 1 Average Bid: $29
Waiver 2 Average Bid: $21
Matchup: Lost (0-1)
The final team to review is the Big Payback with Leone and Gretch, and I wish we ended on a more positive note. This was another very close matchup, if only there were sneak a peaks in this league... or a second starting running back.

Week 2 Waiver Priorities for FFPC
Below are all the players I like for Week 2 for FFPC leagues. I break down all players into tiers with FAAB suggestions, followed by player analysis and a list of players to consider dropping.
This article is also intended to provide value for those of you who play in deeper league formats and dynasty leagues.
Please note that with a drop list, you do not have to drop these players and all suggestions are general as it is impossible to cover all nuances of individual leagues.
