FAABulous Football Week 5: Hello, GoodBYE
Hey ya’ll week 4 was a tough one in terms of injuries. We saw some elite super stars suffer catastrophic injuries which ended their seasons and several others of varying degrees.
Here we are in week 5 and we have bye weeks in addition to these injuries to contend with making some of these upcoming weeks difficult in managed formats. This week we have four teams on bye with Atlanta, Chicago, Green Bay, and Pittsburgh.
Now we have to start planning ahead and stashing players. I am trying to get out ahead here on some plays and willing to take some cheap peaks to see if I can land the next big thing a week early.
As we enter these bye weeks keep in mind not every player listed will make sense for your team, sometimes I am offering some streamer options that would be roster cloggers if you don’t need them for a start.
If you are set with your starters, focus on finding those high upside stashes that could come on down the stretch, now let's get into it!

Destroyer destroyed the competition in this one, back with vengeance after the brutal loss last week. This team took advantage of the high scoring Sunday night game with Jordan Love and George Pickens, while hitting the Bucs to pull off a big score propelling the team into 2nd place.

This loss hurt bad, as I watched Jake Ferguson go off for a massive win, and Ja'Marr Chase get the necessary dud. There were several decisions here, Drake v Caleb felt like a coin flip, and deciding between Godwin, Jennings and Jamo was very tough. Ultimately we leaned into report that Godwin would play a ton (he did).

I had high hope that the ADP Chasing boys would sneak out the win here, but it did not happen. Ladd and Olave along with middling quarterback points was too much to overcome.

For the record I advised a much lower Burden bid that I thought was very aggressive and stilll would have won... by a lot. This team keeps getting dealt the tough blows. First it lost Ceedee Lamb, then Mike Evans, and finally a Jaylin Warren surprise inactive forced us to start Shaheed.
