FAABulous Football Week 6: All Play

FAABulous Football Week 6: All Play

The first week of byes came and went, hopefully ya'll survived and had some of the the right players stashed... Rico Dowdle anyone?

There were also several hidden gems available on the waiver wire even in FFPC leagues like Kendrick Bourne, Michael Carter, Ryan Flournoy, Xavier Hutchinson, and a slew of tight ends... AJ Barner, Mason Taylor, Theo Johnson, Darren Waller, and Jake Tongas.

If you were lucky enough to pick one of these players up, you probably had a nice week.

Here in week 6 we have only two teams on bye with Texans and Vikings. Unfortunately, we saw several more serious injuries that will keep some guys out multiple weeks so we must keep searching, and the price on guys who performed will most certainly rise.

I cannot stress enough the importance of being a week early and stashing players before you see it when possible. I know easier said than done, but if you are here and reading this article this week you are on the right track.

For those of you who play FFPC week 6 is all play week meaning there are no individual head to head matchups. The top 6 scoring teams get a win, while the bottom scoring teams will get a loss, so go ahead and get those points.

Now let's all play our best and have a FAABulous week 6, but first we should checkin on how the teams performed last week.

All stats and data for FAABulous Football are pulled from Fantasy Life, PFF, NFL Next Gen Stats, ETR, and Stealing Signals.

A Look Back at Week 5: Ship Chasing Team Standings and Waiver Wire Wins

I went through team by team, listing the players we won on waivers week 5 and the amount we won the players for, followed by what the average bid was for those players across Main Event Leagues.

I also included some of the top players that we did not win and shared our bid range and the average bid those players went for in Main Event Leagues.

Michael Carter $411

Waiver Average Bid: $225

Isaiah Davis $57

Waiver Average Bid: $91

Matchup:

Won (3-2)

750 pts (2nd)

Destroyer had another solid week and is still holding down the second seed. I thought this team was going to lose and then all the sudden I looked up and Justin Fields, Garrett Wilson, and George Pickens had suddenly put up a ton of points in their game. Heading into an all play week feels fun on teams that have been racking up the points.

Broken Social Scene

Winning Bids:

Michael Carter $311

Waiver Average Bid: $225

Sean Tucker $157

Waiver Average Bid: $129

ARI Team Defense $3

Waiver Average Bid: $27

Matchup:

Loss (3-2)

702.65 pts (4th)

Despite a tough loss this team is still very much in mix of the top teams in it's league. There have been a lot of big injuries here, but hopefully we can get some players to return health and hit on some of the right contingency plays.

Neko Case

Winning Bids:

Trevor Etienne $12

Waiver Average Bid: $20

Michael Carter $311

Waiver Average Bid: $225

ARI Team Defense $7

Waiver Average Bid: $27

Matchup:

Won (2-3)

696.40 pts (8th)

My team did it, we won at long last! While I am ecstatic about the win, I can't help but feel a tiny bit of disappointment... only 3 points were difference between having the 4th seed and being 8th in the league. After the Rico game, we were projected to score close to 175. Unfortunately, Chris Godwin and Jameson Williams were both busts, then Hampton got injured and Bill went off on the bench... I have big dreams for this week.

Arcade Fire

Winning Bids:

Isaiah Davis $132

Waiver Average Bid: $91

Matchup:

Won (3-2)

665.60 pts (5th)

I am proud of the ADP Chasing guys pulling this win out despite benching Bill. The Deebo touchdown at the end was a big help and luckily their opponents had several underperforming players.

Wolf Parade

Winning Bids:

Kendrick Bourne $1

Waiver Average Bid: $34

Matchup:

Loss (1-4)

684.10 pts (11th)

I am still trying to understand how this team could run so pure and ultimately lose. I picked up Kendrick Bourne for a dollar and started him. We plugged in Shaheed for his boom, Tony Pollard got there by the end. This team had lost Ceedee and Mike Evans, it had Love, Golden, and Warren on bye. Then it lost Bucky, and we decided between Chris Rodriguez, Ollie Gordon, and Bhayshul Tuten for last spot and all were terrible for fantasy on top of the Ertz bagel. I remain hopeful that better weeks are ahead.

April

Winning Bid:

Michael Carter $411

Waiver Average Bid: $225

Isaiah Davis $123

Waiver Average Bid: $91

NO Team Defense $3

Waiver Average Bid: $2

Matchup:

Won (2-3)

681.75 pts (10th)

Two wins in a row now and CrakRok will get the return of Rashee Rice. This team is getting healthier as others are falling apart, it feels like things are starting to heat up at the right time.

Islands

Winning Bids:

Brashard Smith $263

Waiver Average Bid: $208

MarShawn Lloyd $1

Waiver Average Bid: $4

Matchup:

Won (3-2)

679.05 pts (5th)

This Ben Gretch team is a fighter. While there are some questions pertaining to depth and flexes the team keeps finding ways to get it done. Don't stop, can't stop, won't stop heading into the all play.

Hot Hot Hot

Winning Bids:

Michael Carter $332

Waiver Average Bid: $225

ARI Team Defense $12

Waiver Average Bid: $27

Matchup:

Loss (3-2)

661.55 pts (6th)

This was a close one and lost because of the kicker injury. At least kickers are easy to find replacements for on the waiver wire. With several players returning from bye for all play week this team is feeling hot, hot, hot!

SC

Winning Bids:

Michael Carter $212

Waiver Average Bid: $225

Harrison Butker $3

Waiver Average Bid: $8

NYG Team Defense $1

Waiver Average Bid: $8

Matchup:

Won (3-2)

758.35 pts (3rd)

I am very proud of the big payback team, as they went from no RB2 options to using an RB in the flex to pull out a massive win. This team is racking up the points and doesn't appear to be slowing down anytime soon.

Week 6 Waiver Priorities for FFPC

Below are all the players I like for Week 6 for FFPC leagues. I break down all players into tiers with FAAB suggestions, followed by player analysis and a list of players to consider dropping.

This article is also intended to provide value for those of you who play in deeper league formats and dynasty leagues.

Please note that with a drop list, you do not have to drop these players and all suggestions are general as it is impossible to cover all nuances of individual leagues.
